At our festival, the Calm Space, located in Karratha Library, offers a peaceful retreat for community members to unwind, recharge, and practice self-care. It’s a quiet, welcoming environment for emotional regulation and connection.

Yinjaa-Barni Art and Yarn
Pop-in for a yarn with artists from the Yinjaa-Barni Art Aboriginal Centre and enjoy a selection of their exhibited works while they paint.

Sketchbook Artist by paintbox
Sketchbook Artist aims to show the journey of art creation from conceptualisation in a sketchbook to the final completed piece. The exhibition will be paired with an art workshop where participants can conceptualise and actualise their vision from a sketch to a final piece.

A Little Bit Of Blue
An interactive detective show for families, told with puppetry. Help to unravel a mystery, and learn about the extraordinary habits of the Australian Satin Bowerbird, and why they are so fascinated by the colour blue.

Wild Things Mask Making
Join us for a creative post-show workshop inspired by Where the Wild Things Are. Parents and children will work together to craft their own “wild thing” mask with a paper bag and a touch of imagination. With a few snips, colours, and decorations, you’ll transform into a Wild Thing yourself!

Silent Story Time
Pop on some headphones and choose a channel to hear a variety of stories, while enjoying the library space and mindful colouring-in

Fever Dream Stingray Workshop
